the single lap format with the climb to the finish sets it apart from other events this year the lap gets longer to ensure a ride time of over 2 hours for all classes

DIRECTIONS the start area is l...ocated north of High Baxtons farm Helmsley N Yorks YO62 5EP the venue is signed in from Helmsley market square using red arrows
Camping from Saturday it’s a condition of camping that you take your rubbish home
No dogs its lambing time this is at the farmers request
On arrival please park/camp as directed.
Sign on is on Saturday 22 April from 12 noon to 6 pm Sunday 7am - 8am at sign on you will be provided with a front printed number and background please make sure your number board is free from silicon or other products. You will also be provided with a plastic tag and cable tie this must be attached to your handle bars and will record your passage through the checks, loose it and it’s a DNF
THERE IS NO OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE ALLOWED ANY ONE CAUGHT WILL RECEIVE A DNF RIDERS MAY HELP EACH OTHER
THE START IS AT 9 AM SUNDAY ALL CLASSES scrutineering from 7.30am as you go to the start line, no tear offs. No body Cameras
A single lap of 18 miles for all riders except expert and pro classes who will complete up to 2 extra inner loops, riders completing 1 lap will have enough fuel to get to the finish. This will be available at sign on
THE START will be hare and hound style; riders will be started in minute intervals according to class
START ORDER pro expert clubmen vets youth sportsmen
EVENT DURATION is 4 hours to complete the course there will be check closing times available at the start, if the weather conditions are wet the event duration time may be extended
REFUELING is only for pro expert and youth 85cc riders. your fuel will be taken in our van to the refuelling point there is no assistance the rider will refuel him/herself the van will leave at 8.30 am the can’s will be laid out in a row with a selection of refuelling mats for you to refuel over . you must switch your engine off before you refuel .
THE ROUTE is controlled by check points the check points are positioned in such a way that its critical you follow the arrows carefully to reach the check point where your tag will be punched , there are different routes on some parts of the course for sportsmen/youth clubmen/vets pro/expert it’s up to you to read the signs . Entering a check point from the wrong direction or without your bike or missing a check point is a DNF. Returning to the finish with the incorrect number of punches for the class will result in a DNF. Losing your punch tag is a DNF. AS YOU LEAVE A CHECK POINT PLEASE DON’T ROOST THE CHECK MARSHAL . riding outside the marked route is a DNF

FOOTPATHS AND ROAD CROSSINGS these are clearly marked and it’s a condition of your entry that you give way to vehicles walkers cyclists horse riders and only cross when safe to do so .
